The little village of Franschhoek is set in what is arguably the most beautifull valley in the country. Its high mountains of patchwork vineyard and forest cradle this carefully preserved village that has become the jewel of our winelands. Franchhoek is famous for many of the finer things of live. Some of the worlds best cuizine, wine, cheese, olives and chocolate can be discovered here, not to mention its fascinating history laid bare in its architecture, museums and monuments, or the splendour of its surrounding nature. Franschhoek is also a short drive away for daytrips to Cape Town, the coast, the wider winelands area and the garden route.

How to do things

Whilst the "to do" things below can be arranged on arrival, many of our guests say "If only we had known when planning our trip, we would have allowed more time in Franschhoek!". Also, prior booking (particularly at the restaurants) is advisable - especially from November to April.
